You guys. I wrote this WEEKS ago and thought I had posted it to the blog only to find out I totally had not. #pregnancybrain. But it was too good not to share so it’s coming at you in March. Better late than never 😉 It’s no secret that I love holidays! I’ve always loved them and as a teacher it was so fun to plan activities and projects for my class. Now as a parent, I think the holidays have become even more magical! I love dressing the girls up in festive outfits, planning fun parties, the glittery art projects, and alllll the extra things that create a horrible mess but magical memories are my jam. My girls get so excited about every little detail and it makes all that work totally worth it!
We usually do a festive breakfast that includes some type of heart pancake or waffle with all the toppings. In the past, we always host a little Valentine’s playdate party. It’s totally chaotic and crazy with kids running wild and glitter everywhere but it’s seriously my favorite. All the kids exchange Valentines and it’s so sweet to watch them pass out their precious little cards to all their friends.
We also love to make all the homemade treats and sweets especially sugar cookies that are addicting AF and become my daily breakfast with coffee for the next 5 days. Also my afternoon pick me up and my evening nightcap…
I will never get tired of spreading out all our art supplies and cutting a million paper hearts to give to all our friends and family members. Glitter will be found in cracks and crevisis for the next 6 months but I don’t even care. It’s the best. We also love to make a few “magic potions” that include bath salts and essential oil rollers.
We usually end the night with a “romantic” dinner by candlelight at home with the kids and Daddy delivers flowers to all the girls and it’s simply the best way to round out such a special holiday. Love is truly in the air! What are your favorite Valentine traditions?!?

I hope you had an extra special weekend celebrating with the ones you love! XO
